Who am I?

I'm Roman, a software engineer. I spend most of my time on the unglamorous half of things — backend, AI infrastructure, and the plumbing that keeps services alive when nobody's watching. My day job is at Indrobo, where the work drifts between web services and actual robots.

On the side I run Ocelotiq, an OpenAI-compatible API that puts GPT-4o, Claude, Gemini and Llama behind a single endpoint. I built it because I got tired of writing the same adapter four times.

I reach for Rust and Python by preference, C when the hardware insists, and I have a soft spot for things that run on small boards. Outside of that: chess I'm mediocre at, and Chinese I'm slowly learning.

What I'm doing now

  • Running Ocelotiq in production — routing, billing, uptime.
  • Engineering at Indrobo: services, automation, robotic platforms.
  • Poking at embedded hardware, currently a home-made full-body tracker.

About this site

One HTML file per page, plus one stylesheet and one script. No frameworks, no web fonts, no analytics, no build step. It uses whatever monospace font your system already has, so it costs zero extra requests.

The palette is three OKLCH colours — base, contrast, accent — and every theme is just nine numbers. Press T to change them. The boxes drifting past are a canvas, not WebGL; the speed and density sliders in the same panel control them, and they hold still if your system asks for reduced motion.

A page weighs about 30KB with the stylesheet and the script included — smaller than a single photo on most sites. Nothing is tracked, nothing is fetched from anyone else's server, and the browser gets the same files whether you're on fibre or on a phone with two bars of signal. The weight budget follows the 512KB Club.
